In September of 2021, we came together as a group of individuals who love to watch sports, bet on sports and explore Web3 together. This was always about community. From Day 1, we have emphasized community participation: King’s Purse, Community Council, committees, community-led contests, Fan Controlled Football, etc.

The launch of our Degen DAO is the next phase of community participation. A formalized structure for participants to collectively vote and shape the evolution of $DGEN, it’s initiatives and use cases. The DAO is a place for entrepreneurial Degens to build the future they want to see. It’s not just about the Knights of Degen. It’s about Degens. Period.

The launch of the $DGEN token represents an important step in the evolution of the Knights of Degen ecosystem. It enables us to enhance the overall experience for our community members and unlocks exciting new opportunities for engagement, participation, gaming, competition and value creation.

$DGEN’s launch brings us forward in our decentralization journey and also allows us to explore new avenues for collaboration, partnerships and ecosystem growth.
