⚔️ Embark on the Ultimate Sports Quest with Our New Game PropQuest

Hey Knights of Degen,

Jake Craven here, Head of Product at Knights of Degen. Today, I want to talk to you about a problem that all sports fans face, and how we're uniquely positioned to solve it with our latest game, PropQuest.

PropQuest is the brainchild of the Knights of Degen product team and aims a few different pain points we have encountered.

As sports fans, we're constantly looking for ways to test our knowledge and strategy against others. But traditional sports betting can be complicated and risky, and many fantasy sports games are limited by geographic and legal restrictions. Personally, I live in a state that does not have legal online sports betting and I’m frustrated that I can’t engage with games like I want to.

On the other hand, as KOD, we need that one killer game that leverages pieces from all of the different facets of our ecosystem that gives our existing community a place to compete and creates an easy and fun channel to introduce new people to Knights of Degen and grow the community.

With these two goals in mind we set out over the past few months drawing from our learnings from our other products, Bet 2 Earn, Degen Brackets, LeagueDAO’s Fantasy Mega League, and we settled on a set of requirements that our next game needs to incorporate.

1. At its core, the game has to enhance the sports watching experience

2. Easy to learn

3. Not subject to geo-blocking and region specific limitations

4. Native incorporates NFTs and our lore into the game experience

5. Can be played year round

6. Multi-sport

7. Can be played in different competition modes e.g. tournament mode, head 2 head matchups, solo quick play

8. Only takes someone avg 5-15 minutes to enter each day

This is where PropQuest comes in.

We are creating the ultimate digital sports fan experience that can be played from anywhere, by anyone. PropQuest is a no-loss, game of skill that allows users to compete against each other in a fun and engaging way.

A Daily Player Prop Game where each day users login to the KOD App and Pick the results of a set of props we choose for them. Users score points based on the “ROI” of the selections they make. Additionally, users will be able to utilize NFT Wildcards that unlock strategic advantages that can alter the results of the game/entry.

One of the most exciting things about PropQuest is the incorporation of NFTs into the game. We believe this will enhance the user experience and create a new level of engagement with the game. Users will be able to apply NFT Wildcards from their Degen Wallet linked to their account in order to modify their slips and give them a competitive advantage during the game.

PropQuest is the first iteration of the game, and we plan to test it with live users to refine the game model and core user flow. We'll be incorporating tournaments, head-to-head challenges, and more in future iterations.
